HI HEY HELLOS! I am Alex Keefe, founder/owner/designer of the small, local business - THE SONNY BALLOON. My goal is to bring JOY to every occasion!  

Balloon creations and celebrations for my loved ones DELIGHT me to no end.  I ventured into this world as a hobby like many first-time-moms in a global pandemic after the birth of my daughter in 2020 and it really began to pick up momentum after having my second in 2022. With encouragement from my community, I made THE SONNY BALLOON official in 2024. The namesake for my son, as clarity arose for our family through his first year of life. Let’s bring the SPARKLE and SUNSHINE out again incorporating FUN and SIMPLE JOYS into your every day!

I also have 15 years experience in the events industry, the bulk of which was producing immersive large-scale festivals at sea curated to a high-profile client and their passionate fanbase's vacation desires. I have conceptualized, negotiated, contracted, built, and marketed countless event brands with the driving goal of an AUTHENTIC, IMPACTFUL, and REMARKABLE experience. I bring that skillset and professionalism into my balloon business. I know just how precious a personal party can be to your family or how integral that corporate gathering can be to the your stakeholders. I approach every event small to large with the upmost CARE.

THE SONNY BALLOON is also a full-circle moment and continuation of Keefe family legacy. My in-laws had their own entertainment & balloon/floral business in the 70s+80s+90s serving Chicagoland in which their motto was “DELIVERING HAPPINESS.”
